Conservation Commission · Meeting of February 11, 2026

NH NEWPORT — Newport Conservation Commission unanimously approves Elm Grove electrical project at Cross Street. The Commission voted 6-0-0 to permit Eversource to install utility poles and wiring across town property in a 50-foot span, determining the work will not restrict future trail development or town use of the easement. In other action, the Commission voted unanimously to create a two-member subcommittee with Donald Schagen and Andrew Boutin to develop Natural Resource Inventory recommendations for the town's master-plan update, coordinating with the Planning Board on February 26.
