NH NEWPORT — Conservation Commission subcommittee launches formal natural resources inventory action plan development process. Members Don Schagen and Andy Boutin examined example NRI action plans from New Hampshire towns including Sunapee, Rye, Boscawen, and Claremont before agreeing to develop Newport's customized plan. Initial goals identified include maintaining membership in the New Hampshire Association of Conservation Commissions, attending annual meetings, and coordinating with Planning and Zoning on the master plan and Planning Board applications.

The subcommittee plans to complete the work over four to five meetings spanning roughly four to five weeks.
