Eight-Hangar Project Advances at Parlin Field Airport
Parlin Field Airport Advisory Board · Meeting of February 17, 2026
NH NEWPORT — Newport airport board reports T-hangar project progress. The Airport Advisory Board reported a signed letter of intent for eight T-hangar units with summer 2026 groundbreaking, which will generate ground lease, tax, and snow-plowing revenue for the town. The airport master plan identified a 6 million dollar runway improvement as the facility's top priority; the board declined federal FAA funding, which would have reduced runway length, in favor of pursuing alternative funding sources.
January 2026 operations recorded 37 flights; full-year 2025 showed 2,061 flights versus 2,440 in 2024, a 16 percent decline, yet the airport posted a 24,000 dollar fuel profit.
