NH NEWPORT — The Newport Planning Board established a new Capital Improvement Program committee for town infrastructure planning. Vice Chairman Ken Merrow appointed Planning Board members Anna O'Hara and Keith Sayer as representatives, alongside two Board of Selectmen members, the Budget Advisory Committee, a school board member, and a citizen at large. Town Manager Kyle Harris explained the six-year projection will balance capital improvements with tax stability, using Finance Director Paul Boutin's earlier internal projections as a template.

The board advanced the Master Plan process, with final presentation September 23 and public hearing October 28.
