Planning Board advances Newport Master Plan revision process

NH NEWPORT — Newport Planning Board charts course for Master Plan revision. Vice Chairman Ken Merrow was designated as point person to coordinate corrections to draft chapters from Tim Josephson and the Upper Valley Lake Sunapee Region Planning Commission during the April 22 meeting. The board unanimously approved March meeting minutes and directed updates to outdated maps, fire service data, and facility descriptions, plus requested new sections on the Arts in Newport and municipal Net Zero electricity goals.

A final Master Plan draft is targeted for May 2026.
